Mapping Baltimore Homicides

Yesterday's beSpacific reports on a mashup developed by the Baltimore Sun to map homicides in Baltimore City. The mashup combines Google's map technology along with data from the City to document the locations and types of homicides in Baltimore City.

Biotech In Maryland Report

Today's Daily Record ("Study: To Better Compete, Baltimore Should Think Regional") [subscription] and today's Sun ("Bioscience 1st") both contained articles on a new report entitled "Biosciences In Greater Baltimore" from The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore (the report is a free PDF, but you must register to access it). The Sun article also contains a graphic comparing the Northeast's biotech industry with that in California.
