Enforcement of Foreign Judgments

If you're interested in enforcing a judgment rendered in one state to another state, you may be interested in the following page from the Commercial Collection Agency Association. In Maryland, the authority for this action rests in Title 11, Subtitle 8 (11-801) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings of the MD Annotated Code. Entitled "The Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act," the act is based on a 1964 Uniform Law of the same name. This Uniform Law was then incorporated, with a few changes, into the MD Code.
